Friday AM Snow Update…

GM all, just a quick update here…  Our forecast for this event is unchanged at this time.  I realize we are the lightest as far as snowfall accumulations with this system in the market place but looking at the latest model data (06z suite /  RUC etc…) we’re gonna stick to our guns on this and say “up to 1 inch” (with likely most areas picking up less than 1 inch).  Still looks like a mix of light rain and snow later this afternoon. If sfc temps climb above 36 and the precip is light (and it likely will be), it’ll likely be a mix of light rain and snow. Temps of 36 or lower – all snow.   Still see little or no accumulation during the day as temperatures will be above freezing and the precip will be light.   This evening, as sfc temps slowly drop towards the lower 30s, the light pockets of snow will start to accumulate on grassy/elevated surfaces.  A few slick spots may form late tonight once the arctic front passes through and we get our bigger drop in temperatures – but again, that is not expected until after midnight.   I’ll have another update once the new data comes in both on this little event and Monday night’s possible snow.
