Early Afternoon Update

Forecast seems to be on track… Accumulations today : underneath some of the heavier bands of snow (circled on the latest radar image) folks are reporting a light dusting on grassy areas.  Once the rates lighten up however, the dusting(s) seem to be melting off.

That trend should continue as temperatures are above freezing, it’s daytime, and now wet bulb temperatures (the temperature the air would cool to if 100% saturation at the surface took place (i.e. temperature and dew point temperatures the same)) are climbing above the freezing point as well.

I’m still waiting on one model before I want to talk about Monday night’s event.  But at this point, it still looks decent for another snow chance at that time.
